Frequently asked questions
Careful answers to common questions about our supportive wellness care, how it works alongside medical treatment, and what to expect.
What does supportive wellness care actually mean?
Supportive wellness care refers to services that help a person feel more comfortable, supported, and cared for while living with cancer, without attempting to diagnose, treat, or cure the illness itself. At Cancer Wellness Clinic Limited, this includes nutrition and lifestyle guidance, emotional and counselling support, gentle physical wellbeing sessions, and family care coordination.
Does this replace my medical treatment?
No. Our services do not replace medical treatment in any way. We are a supportive and complementary wellness clinic, not a hospital or oncology treatment provider. We strongly encourage everyone we support to continue following the guidance of their doctor or hospital team, and we see our role as working alongside that care, never in place of it.
How does supportive care complement medical treatment?
Medical teams focus on treating the illness itself. Our team focuses on the everyday experience of living with that treatment: appetite and nutrition, emotional wellbeing, rest and gentle movement, and the practical needs of a household. When both layers of care work together, people and families often feel more supported through a demanding time.
Who is this service for?
Our services are for people living with a cancer diagnosis at any stage, including recent diagnosis, active treatment, and recovery, as well as for spouses, parents, children, and other family members who are supporting someone through this experience. You do not need a referral to reach out to us.
Is what I share with the clinic confidential?
Yes. Conversations with our team are treated with care and discretion. We understand that health-related information and personal feelings shared in counselling or nutrition conversations are sensitive, and we handle them accordingly. Please see our Privacy Policy for more detail on how personal information is handled.
Can family members be involved in sessions?
Yes, where the person we are supporting welcomes it. Many families find it helpful to be part of care coordination conversations, and we also offer separate space for family members who would like their own support. We are always guided by what the individual is comfortable with.
What happens during a typical session?
Sessions are unhurried and conversational. Depending on the type of support requested, a session might involve talking through nutrition and daily routines, a counselling conversation, a gentle relaxation practice, or a family planning discussion. There is no fixed script; each session follows the needs and pace of the person or family involved.
Do you charge for these services, or is there a fee list?
We do not publish prices on this website. If you would like to understand more about what is involved in accessing our supportive services, please contact us directly and we will be glad to talk it through with you.
